4057 to collect data about "Humans." I knew It would be tough,
but I was ready to face anything. Alright, here's how it goes.
9:05: Students enter the class.
9:10: Students start morning pages.
9:25: Students end morning pages.
9:30: Students talk about what they want to be when they grow up.
(Audrey wants to be a hula dancing marine biologist.)
9:45: Naolin and Victoria share their ethnography report. It's about
a hamster named Fluffy-Ga-Ga. It sounds like an evil villain.
I must watch out for this "Fluffy-Ga-Ga."
9:50: Ted shouts when they are finished with their report.
Tyler jumps up and gets scared. I must watch out for this "Ted" too.
He might try to eat me.
9:59: Andrew sneezes, Ted says "bless you." I wonder what bless you
means, It must be some sort of secret language.
10:02: The class watches a video on Andrew's home page. It was a guy that
was talking nonsense about an egg named "Hu."
10:06: Ted talks about things on the wiki. He also talks about
a drooling piano player named Tom.
10:15: Students work on their memoir draft.
10:24: Ted quotes a famous line, "The story of your life is not your life, it's
your story."
10:26: Students continue writing memoirs.
10:46: Students go to break.
11:17: Students come back from break, the boys have a little trouble with the elevator.
11:19: Ted gets attention so Claudia can pass out paper.
11:20: Justin sneezes.
11:23: Ted talks about narrative leads, (the start of a story.)
There are typical, action, dialogue, and reaction leads.
11:29: Anthony reads an action story lead.
11:30: Naolin reads a dialogue lead.
11:34: Jason reads a reaction lead.
11:35: Ted reads different first line leads from different famous books on his "Kindle."
11:55: Kayanne drops her journal.
11:58: Majority of the class change their memoir leads from one to another.
12:11: A YWC helper takes pictures of painted journals.
12:12: Students vote to hear a student's memoir.
Ted says that the class voted to hear him talk more.
12:13: Ted reads the story of My Mouth and Other Toothaches, by Madison C.
12:18: The class talks about Madison's story.
12:23: The class cleans up.
12:30: The class leaves.
